Samuel Fitzgerald is a graduate of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (May 2013), with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology. He has worked as a developer for Excella Consulting, where he debugged and enhanced web-based systems. Web page development in C# and database maintenance using SQL were the primary activities he was assigned to. Essential problem solving and systems configuration skills were gained throughout this unique educational engagement. In 2013, he began working for CGI Federal. The majority of the time with the company was spent at the Patent and Trademark Office, where his work with the financial system Momentum led him to a large variety of activities. Work load included regularly leading new and experienced user trainings, back end SQL script development, report configuration, server management, and error debugging. There was also a large variety of project configurations, so he worked on long term waterfall assignments, as well as a host of agile projects.In 2019, he started working for Deloitte in the Financial Risk and Transactional Restructuring area under the Government and Public Services umbrella. He is in a client facing role leading system implementations of a crucial tool being utilized at the Federal level. His role allows him the opportunity to gain vital skills as a Senior Consultant, as the variety of work is endless and inspires confidence in the direction we are heading together in GPS.
