ABOUT SAMUEL EMORY

Sam is a landscape architect, architect, and design educator invested in collaborative practice, systems-based approaches, and socio-ecological regeneration. He practices landscape architecture with Ground Reconsidered in Philadelphia and is a member of Drexel University\'s adjunct faculty teaching design studios which emphasize the relationship between architecture, site, and sustainability.Sam earned his Master of Landscape Architecture in 2022 from the Tyler School of Art + Architecture, Temple University. While pursuing his graduate degree, he served as the Co-President of Temple ASLA, completed a certificate program in Teaching in Higher Education, and was recognized with multiple awards including 2nd Place in the 2021 Edmund N. Bacon Urban Design Awards Competition, the John Collins Drawing Award, and the ASLA Student Honor Award. His graduate thesis work imagined emergent forms of regenerative public space within a framework of climate adaptation on Maryland\'s Eastern Shore.Sam received his Bachelor of Architecture in 2015 through Drexel University\'s 2+4 Program. His undergraduate thesis work centered on equitable access to architecture, landscape, and public space. He earned his architectural licensure in 2017, and worked in Philadelphia on the design of educational, institutional, and public projects across a variety of scales and contexts.
