About Samuel Davis

I have been with A360inc and its previous iterations since the summer of 2011, as the storage architect and then DataCenter/ Hybrid Operations Architect for all business units. I manage and design the storage, virtualization, hosting and backup solutions as well as system integrations and migration. I am also involved in handling the maintenance renewals and new system recommendations and purchase price negotiations with vendors. I am experienced with multiple storage technologies ranging from SMB Synology, Equalogic and MSA up through Compellent, Netapp and EMC Enterprise class systems. This includes both NAS and Block operations as well as migration and backup of those systems. I also lead the BU teams in building our multidirectional Disaster Recovery, and off-site tape free backups, all within the current a360inc hybrid environment. I hold EMCTAe and EMCIEe certifications, and have also completed the training series for IBM SVC, NetApp, VMware, Isilon, and CCNA. I am also trained and certified in ITIL and trained in “Lean 6 Sigma” as part of vendor best practice operations. During my tenure as a storage architect, starting in 2007, I have completed over 100 projects with EMC including, but not limited to, DR solutions, Midrange and Enterprise Storage and NAS, Backup solutions and migrations to and from EMC solutions. Major accomplishments in this area include creating and testing the DR solution for a major Michigan based automotive manufacturing group, allowing for near instant failover of all plant operations. Building and testing DR for multiple Michigan based companies, as well as migration from old solutions to new. Multi Petabyte management and migration for manufacturing, including the standardization and scripting of storage across multiple locations. Working directly with the engineers at a large storage company in developing new flagship products. During this time I have migrated over 500PB of data. Update and virtualization of a large national power company, and migration of storage to a protected environment.
