About Samantha Tyler

I have a passion for telling the Army\'s story. I began working in the Army public affairs field in 2018 as a public affairs fellow. I graduated the program in 2020 and have worked as a public affairs specialist at Army Materiel Command since then. In my current role, I work with local, national and defense media, and plan communication efforts. I graduated in 2016 with my bachelor\'s degree from Virginia Tech as a multimedia journalism major, with a business leadership minor and theatre minor. I received my master\'s degree from the University of Alabama, graduating in 2017 with a community journalism degree.    Working as a member of AMC\'s Public and Congressional Affairs team, serving as the media relations lead. I also communication plan and help the Army communicate quality of life improvements, installation updates and stories about its people. In addition, I write articles, assist in community events, and create content, including video products.
