With 12+ years of diverse experience in Information / Cyber Security, IT Auditing, Compliance, Governance, Portfolio, and Risk Management, Sam Thapa is a seasoned Program Analyst and FedRAMP IT Specialist who can deliver high-quality solutions for complex IT challenges. He has a strong graduate educational background in Information Systems Management and Information Security from Ferris State University, as well as multiple certifications in CompTIA Security+, Lean6, and Advanced Studies in Information Security and Networking Management. In a recent role as a Management and Program Analyst at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Sam managed the Airspace District PIV/FIPS 201 Program, enforcing Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) compliance, identity and access management, and building and personnel security. He also provided general FAA systems support and database reporting. Previously, he was the FedRAMP information security compliance program manager at Genesys, a leading cloud-based customer experience platform. There, he oversaw the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliance, as well as other compliance standards such as PCI, SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO27001. He also supervised IT audit testing, facilitated process improvement, and supported cloud operations and R&D. Before that, he worked as an information systems security manager and program analyst at the Department of Defense (DoD), where Sam was responsible for accounting standards and reporting, enterprise solutions and standards, and information assurance management. In addition, Sam Thapa received several awards and honors for his service excellence and special achievements at the DoD and the United States Federal Government in general. Sam Thapa\'s mission is to leverage his expertise in FedRAMP and Information Security to help organizations achieve optimal performance, security, and compliance in their IT systems and processes. Sam is passionate about learning new technologies, solving problems, and collaborating with diverse teams. He is also motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the people and the world through his work.
