   Responsible for keeping Munson management informed about conditions within reimbursement areas, including the impact of proposed and final regulations changes. Maintain updated payment rates. Educate CFO, hospital management, finance, and revenue cycle staff on reimbursement systems and implications. Collaborate with various teams across the system including executive and senior leadership. Participate in the implementation and upgrade of financial information systems. Responsible for reimbursement related issues for all Munson revenue producing entities. Including diverse hospital status of both Sole Community Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals, Homecare agencies, Hospice, Dialysis Centers, Long term Care facilities and Rural Health Clinics. Thorough knowledge of the parent company and Home Office reporting will be key. Represent Munson entities as the 340b Primary Contact. Review registrations, participate in audits, advise on compliance, and recommend strategies to maximize 340b savings and reimbursement across the system. Responsible for assisting Patient Financial Services in understanding reimbursement changes. Prepare and submit all financial and statistical reports required by all third-parties for hospital reimbursement. Write appeals when necessary for closed cost report periods. Be responsible for all third-party audits. Have knowledge of and oversee filings related to wage index, occupational mix, geographic reclassifications, and GME FTEs. Work with Legal, Government Relations, and/or outside counsel as needed on appeals and any high-level issues including analysis and advisement on proposed and passed legislation related to reimbursement levels to provide financial analysis and recommendations. Understand the cost accounting function and be responsible for the reimbursement and payment calculations in the service line and productivity modeling. Review short and long range budgeting of Net Patient Service revenue by payer.
