About Sridhar Sampath
I now have 35 years experience in banking, finance and fund management, including nearly 15 years in the impact investing world. In the last 7 years I have worked in the water and sanitation sector, initially in South Asia and later in major emerging markets. I have done this mostly through debt investments, and some equity investments. Previously I had a few decades of experience in corporate and SME finance. I ran a consultancy for 17 years that provided structured finance solutions for small and mid-corporates in South India - outside traditional plain vanilla banking products. During that time I also advised a few small and medium businesses in areas of business strategy, general management and finance. I was adviser to a few overseas funds on their Indian investments, representing them on the boards of their investments in India. I have worked with a European DFI and with an Indian banking group. I am looking for senior advisory roles and board member roles in impact investing, particularly in water and sanitation.
