ABOUT SAMPAT SONI

With over 18 years of experience in the Banking and Finance industry, I am a seasoned professional specializing in Risk and Control Management, Control Evaluations and Testing, Issue Management, Risk Reporting, Risk Governance, Compliance and Audit, Change Management, Process Efficiency, Global Stakeholder Management, and Team Leadership. I have a proven track record of designing and implementing key control programs, risk metrics and reporting, internal control and audit frameworks, and data strategies for various business lines across the U.S. and international regions.In my previous role at Wells Fargo, I successfully led efforts to remediate the Consent Order, MRIAs, MRAs, and open issues, significantly enhancing control programs. I also established the Risk Management Effectiveness structure, driving strategic thought leadership and ensuring quarterly risk reporting included qualitative insights. As a team builder and mentor, I have trained and developed risk professionals, emerging leaders, and young talent, who have become strong performers and valuable assets to the organization.
