I’m actively involved in our Firm’s Commercial Real Estate and International practice areas. I’m experienced in various aspects of real estate investment, development and management, including acquisitions, financing, development, joint ventures, commercial leasing and brokerage. My experience covers a large range of property sectors including retail, office, industrial, mixed-use and residential. As an experienced attorney and real estate broker, I often act as the communication hub for real estate transactions across the United States and internationally. Specifically, I have experience assisting foreign investors (including funds, family offices and HNI’s) with in-bound transactions into the U.S. and U.S. based clients with out-bound transactions into emerging markets in Asia and Europe. I’ve also had the good fortune of regularly working closely with clients and brokerage teams, providing advice and guidance relating to strategic planning, project oversight and key private and public relationships, including access to capital markets.I’ve previously served as COO and General Counsel at the Black Lion Investment Group (a retail investment firm) and corporate counsel at Shea Properties and the Empire Company. I’ve also practiced at several business and real estate law firms in Southern California, and as part of KPMG’s International Tax Consulting practice.
