Key responsibilities as Development Project Manager in the Offshore Directorate include- Leadership of multi discipline project teams involving both staff and external contractors, using robust systems, tools and techniques to produce key project deliverables up to the project construction phase- Assessing project feasibility, development of options and initial designs and driving refinement to a selected option of converter station and offshore platform sites- Coordination of key surveys and studies to inform initial designs. Development of necessary documentation to support successful planning and consents applications- Coordination of main contract tender preparation, evaluation and appointment documentation to meet large project governance requirements- Development and management of project financial forecasts and costs, and project execution schedules including identification, reporting and mitigation of key project risks- Applying and adhering to the Safety Management Systems, best practices and the SSE Large Capital Projects Governance processes for all projects as well as leading the project teams in alignment with the SSE Safety Culture.
