On January 1st, 2023, I was proud to join the Board of Directors with the Texas Association of Business (or TAB for short) and to step into my role as the Regional Chair for the Houston-Gulf Coast region. In my role as Regional Chair, I will be working to ensure the Houston-Gulf Coast region is adequately represented within the organization by keeping the TAB board updated on all of the advocacy needs and concerns facing businesses large & small that are unique to our region, and also be the local business leader voice of TAB in the region by serving as counsel when TAB plans regional meetings. The Texas Association of Business is the Texas State Chamber, representing companies of every size and industry. TAB works in a bipartisan manner to vigorously protect Texas\' pro-business climate, delivering solutions to the challenges affecting Texas employers. TAB’s purpose is to champion the best business climate in the world, unleashing the power of free enterprise to enhance lives for generations. TAB’s core principles:(1) Ensure a light regulatory environment and tax structure for businesses of every size and industry.(2) Maximize employers’ opportunity to grow jobs, increase wages, and give back to their communities.(3) Build a sustainable and inclusive workforce by enhancing the education system and encouraging second chance hiring.(4) Support business growth through sensible immigration and trade policies as well as economic development incentives.(5) Fortify infrastructure including energy, transportation, water and broadband. The 2023 Key Legislative Priorities include: Economic Development…Energy…Healthcare…Private Employer Rights…Tech & Innovation…Workforce & Education. TAB supports initiatives that encourage economic growth and protect the pro-Texas, pro-jobs philosophy. I’m so excited & honored to serve as a strong voice for businesses of every size & industry, as well as all the incredible people they employ across this great state of Texas.
