Prepare and maintain Project Level Estimates through various stages of a project, representing the total project scope. Develop scope of work with Project Team and prepare order of magnitude conceptual estimates. Prepare preliminary, budget, and definitive estimates: Develop quantity takeoff – Including a hands-on demonstration of material pricing from vendors. Develop labor/equipment crew requirements for each work component. Develop estimates for comparison to bids received from General Contractors/ Developers. Complete bid reviews for various projects, including major equipment schedules. Attend site visits and/or client meetings. Assemble and evaluate all labor data for final use and input into estimate file. Keep up with the new and changing construction methods in the marketplace. Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships. Provide accurate cost advice and report during the Pre-construction phases of the project. Provide general leadership of the project controls and cost management resources; monitoring project demands and taking ownership of all documents and deliverables created by the team. Supervise the development of Primavera schedules and review of contractor schedules. Implementing robust monitoring and control processes to ensure project costs, schedules and any related risks are regularly reviewed. Deliver project construction cost reports with cost forecasting and cost control, managing contingencies and regularly reporting to client stakeholders, including delivering presentations and report writing. Liaising with the contractor’s project controls and project managers in reviewing, challenging and negotiating supporting cost validation documentation. Lead change order and claims review, including review and recommendation of entitlements in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions.
