Responsible for all processing aspects of new or existing grinding mills and grinding systems in applications in the mining, minerals, and cement industries.• Research and analysis of data, specification, and test results to determine feasibility of design and application of grinding systems.• Process calculations to determine all relevant factors and variables towards the selection of suitable equipment and its appropriate sizing.• Developing grinding circuits and sizing grinding, classification, and auxiliary equipment for cement and mineral applications including ball mills, semi-autogenous mills, vertical roller mills, separators, and high pressure grinding rolls.• Generation of process flowsheets and calculations of mass and heat balances.• Calculation and drafting of performance guarantees.• Provide on-site commissioning assistance and coordination with field erection services during equipment installation and startup.• Evaluation of field installations and recommend design modifications and technical solutions to address the needs of the operating plants.• Overseeing, organization, and supervision of grinding performance tests at mineral processing and cement plants.• Developing test programs, methods, and procedures for evaluation of grinding systems performance.• Analysis and interpretation of grinding test results as well as review and generation of test reports. • Performing process audits and providing on-site inspections to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and recommend technical solutions for operational issues. • Supervising two high pressure grinding rolls test machines including a 500mm x 300mm pilot-scale HPGR in Reno, NV and a 200mm x 100mm lab-scale HPGR in Lakefield, Ontario.
