He led more than 100 customer sales and delivery engagements to success. For 20+ years, Samir has been considered a trusted advisor by his customers.Samir has led many teams through all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), many teams through performance, resiliency, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) engagements. He innovated and applied methodologies for performance & resiliency optimization, and for IT Operations transformations. Samir influenced and catalyzed the adoption of his innovated methodologies within IBM and by many customers. He provided innovative ideas and thought leadership for AI for IT product management, and Research & Development. Samir has a deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IBM Cloud platforms. He has an extensive experience with virtualization technologies such as PowerVM and VMWare technologies. He has a deep expertise in cloud native core technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes based products such as IBM Cloud Pak products and RedHat OpenShift. He led major Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM) and WebSphere solutions through all phases; from requirements & design to production deployment & support. He led performance engagements successfully involving solutions of many products.Samir was awarded the well-coveted IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award (OTAA) four times for performance and resiliency optimization and many service excellence awards. He has many IBM Developer articles, tech notes, white papers, performance & resiliency engineering blogs, and AIOps blogs. He has a number of professional certifications. He is a frequent speaker at IBM conferences. He mentored many colleagues, internal and external to IBM. He was awarded eleven patents and has a number of pending patents. He is an IBM Master Inventor, a member of IBM Academy of Technology, IBM Professional Certification review board, and five patent review boards.
