About Samir Desai

As a faculty member at the Baylor College of Medicine for over 20 years, Dr. Samir Desai has been deeply committed to the education of medical students, residents, and international medical graduates. He is the author of 20 books that have sold over copies, including The Successful Match, Success on the Wards, and the Clinician’s Guide to Laboratory Medicine. These resources have been adopted as required or recommended texts in our nation’s medical schools, PA programs, and NP programs. One of his books, The Successful Match, was recognized as a high-value resource by the AAMC Group on Student Affairs. He is also a member of the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine and the recipient of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine Innovations Grant. Through MD2B Connect, he partners with premedical students, medical students, and residents to help these future doctors secure positions in medical school, residency, and fellowship.
