ABOUT SAMIKSHA PATEL

I am a dedicated social work professional with a deep commitment to women’s empowerment, mental health, and the up-liftment of orphaned and vulnerable youth, including those living with HIV (PLHIV). Over the past two years, I have successfully designed and led community-based programs that equip these individuals with the tools, skills, and support needed to lead self-reliant and empowered lives. My work spans across vocational training, life-skills development, and psychosocial support for young adults transitioning out of child care institutions. I specialise in building their confidence, improving their emotional well-being, and preparing them for independent adulthood. In addition to my fieldwork, I bring hands-on experience in data collection, and impact assessment, allowing me to contribute both at the grassroots and programmatic levels. My strength lies in communication, coordination, and building safe, inclusive spaces for the most under - served communities. Whether it\'s mentoring youth affected by HIV, creating mental health awareness, or mobilising resources for orphaned children, I remain committed to continuous learning and growth. My journey is driven by a belief in the power of community, dignity, and change — and I’m always looking to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations to make a lasting impact.
