About Sam Genduso

Hi! I\'m Sam, a hands-on startup leader with a decade of experience in my happy place at the intersection of product strategy, software engineering, and team culture. I’m proud of my reputation as someone who can “figure it out” no matter what “it” is, leaves things better than found, and puts people at the heart of everything I do. My career began as a Data Analyst helping businesses figure out which teams should sell which products in which markets at which times.🧑‍ I spent the next 10 years planning and coding frontend, backend, mobile,(and yes, even AI) EdTech applications, leading everything from product strategy to technical architecting to stakeholder communications - always with an eye towards solving real problems for real people.🤝 Along the way I\'ve managed and mentored fellow engineers, product managers, and more, and served as the Product and Engineering voice in strategic discussions with other leaders from across the org. When I’m not working on improving our products, I’m working on improving team and company culture, using employee feedback to launch initiatives ranging from personal growth plans for all employees to an annual team-building Spirit Week. Once I’ve signed off for the day, you may find me biking through whatever green space I can find in the city, debating with friends about which board games are the best for which scenarios, or fulfilling a childhood dream of learning to play the drums!
