ABOUT SAMER BARTAL
Construction Coordinator at Defence Construction Canada, supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure projects that serve Canada’s defence and security needs. With a BASc in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa and prior experience as an Assistant Superintendent at EllisDon, I bring both field and project management expertise—as well as a strong theoretical foundation—to every project. My background includes structural demolition, M&E systems, building envelope, and structural concrete and steel—where I’ve developed strong skills in contract administration, quality control inspections, interpreting engineering drawings, and managing scopes of work. These experiences have shaped my ability to work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about contributing to projects that strengthen Canada’s infrastructure. Beyond construction, I’m also interested in how emerging technologies—such as cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence—are shaping industries and creating new opportunities for innovation.
