   As a law student, most of my internships are around legal fields. But Always have an interest in technology and startup space. I expressed this interest when I got a chance to meet Rahul Mamman at KTX\'24. I approached him with an opportunity for an internship. I didn\'t know much about Haeal other than his regular post on LinkedIn. So the roles and responsibilities were vague. I had a limitless ocean to explore.I started my initial days under the leadership of Daino, of Haeal. Dealing with social media and other administrative work. But I soon have my attention on the pharma side of Rahul\'s business. Especially Green Specialities Pvt. This is one of Kerala\'s largest pharma distribution companies. When I visited Green Pharma, it was going through a radical change with the implementation of a tab system for medicine picking. This is a faster and more efficient system compared to the regular hand-picking of each medicine. As a new system, there were a lot of changes regarding the flow of medicine and finding the choke point in the process. The order needs to come, the medicines need to be picked, billing needs to be done and checking of the products and transport to the dispatch area, all these processes have to be made streamlined. Having one area above the throughput of the other will cause hogging in one area and will result in the loss of resources.This was a new concept to me. Coincidentally, before starting my internship, I asked Rahul for the books I should read to build a basic understanding of his businesses. The book he suggested was The GOAL by Eliyahu M. Goldratt. It is a book on the Theory of Constraints (TOC). The concept in this book fully aligned with the experience I was having in the distribution business.After the medicine picking, I also spent my last weeks of May 2024 dealing with the dispatch session. Especially building the required hubs. This was aligned with Rahul\'s vision of 40-minute delivery of medicines in all parts of Ernakulam.
