ABOUT SAMEER BATTA

I design and lead Azure-based cloud platforms for insurance organizations, helping them move from legacy, fragmented estates to secure, scalable and well-governed architectures. I’m an enterprise architect with 17+ years of experience, starting from hands-on infrastructure engineering and evolving into leading cloud and enterprise architecture for large-scale, business-critical platforms. I’ve worked extensively with UK insurers and London Market firms, delivering architectures that improve resilience, regulatory alignment and time-to-market. From an architecture and technical standpoint, I’ve led: Azure landing zones and platform design aligned to enterprise governance (CAF) Hybrid architectures and enterprise networking (hub-spoke, private connectivity) Application modernization decisions (AKS vs App Services, API-led integration) Data and integration platforms supporting underwriting and claims workflows Resilience and disaster recovery design aligned to RTO/RPO objectives I’m particularly strong in making practical architecture decisions — balancing ideal-state design with real-world constraints such as legacy dependencies, regulatory expectations and delivery timelines. Beyond solution design, I’ve played a key role in architecture governance, design authorities and platform roadmap definition, working closely with senior stakeholders to align technology strategy with business priorities. What I enjoy most is solving complex, ambiguous problems — where there isn’t a single right answer, but the right trade-offs make all the difference.
