About Samarth Patil

I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Business Analytics at the Carlson School of Management. I am incredibly keen on working in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning and am actively looking for full-time opportunities. I have 2 years of full-time experience as a full-stack developer at Standard Chartered Bank where I developed web applications for payment systems for corporate clients using ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Spring Boot and also built widgets using Machine Learning to improve user experience. I also have internship experience with a start-up in the field of data analytics where I used Python, MySQL, and Machine Learning to develop algorithms to detect fuel theft for logistics companies with large fleets of trucks. Prior to that, I developed the software prototype for the autonomous navigation of an electric car using Python and C++. As a Master’s in Business Analytics student, I am developing expertise in the topics of Statistics, Machine Learning, Business and Data Analytics, Big Data, and Causal Inference. I have had the opportunity to work on live cases with multiple clients on projects that have a real business impact. I am a passionate learner and always aspire to improve my skillset. I aim to work on projects that align with my competencies – work involving Data Science with high business impact and the goal of improving user experience.
