About Samarth Patil
I\'m Samarth Patil, a Mechanical Engineering graduate student at the University of Washington, pursuing a Master\'s program. I am passionate about learning new concepts in mechanical engineering, exploring my interests, and solving real-life problems.I am interested in the areas of CAD-CAM, Simulation, Design optimization, Additive manufacturing, Manufacturing techniques, Soft robotics, etc. I have prior experience working on research projects in both academic and industry environments.I have worked at McMaster University on soft robotics research and at Ohio State University on Vehicle integrated photovoltaics research, as an intern. I have also worked at 3DExperience Lab, Dassault Systemes as an intern, designing customized 3D printable surgical implants. I have worked on numerous projects in college and participated in competitions to test my abilities. I was an active member of the aeromodelling club of my college, since my freshman year, and I have also led the Team as the Vice-captain. I have attended several workshops on aeromodelling, and national-level competitions like SAE \'Aero Design Challenge\', and our team has received prizes at the national level.
