ABOUT SAMAR SALEH
I am an Assistant Professor in the College of Integrated Science and Engineering at James Madison University, teaching and researching in Industrial & Manufacturing Systems and Computing. I earned my PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Rutgers University, where my research focused on Additive Manufacturing and the use of data analytics for decision-making in sustainable production systems.Previously, I worked as an Operations Specialist at Assi Steel in Lebanon, improving efficiency, quality, and profitability through data-driven process improvements. I also hold a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the Lebanese International University and certifications in supply chain management, teacher training, and campaigning and fundraising.I am passionate about advancing manufacturing through innovative and sustainable solutions and about preparing students to think critically, embrace systems thinking, and use technology responsibly to improve both performance and human well-being.
