About Samantha Woodke
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Neuroscience, specializing in Systems & Behavior. I am currently investigating neuroimmune mechanisms of chronic pain in the Lacagnina Lab at Cincinnati Children’s. Ultimately, I hope to obtain an MD-PhD and pursue a career in academic medicine. Within various research opportunities, I have built foundational laboratory and analytical skills to promote my development as a scientist. My focuses have ranged from stress and the microbiome to the immune system and pain, and this background informs my continued efforts to apply translational research techniques toward the advancement of neurological therapeutics.
