About Samantha Razook
Samantha Razook is a seasoned entrepreneur with a background in for-profit program administration as well as graphic and industrial design. Samantha started Curious Jane as a summer camp for her girls – and all girls – to be creative and inventive in a high-energy space. Curious Jane publishes an in-print, ad-free maker magazine and runs summer camps in Brooklyn for girls ages 5 to 11. Curious Jane also licenses its content for other media productions as well as camp programs in other markets.In 2014, Curious Jane was the recipient of the JPMorgan Chase Mission Main Street Grant – an unrestricted $250k awarded to 12 small businesses – selected from an applicant pool of over With the help of this grant, Samantha grew Curious Jane from a summer camp company into an educational content company for girls which serves thousands of students each year via project-based programming and employs over one hundred young women each summer season. Curious Jane Magazine has a national subscriber base of families, educators and libraries. Samantha received her Masters of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and her Bachelor’s from Yale University in Graphic Design.
