About Samantha Miranda
As a member of the Sponsored Projects Administration (aka Restricted Funds), I helped provide pre-award and post-award fiscal administrative support to NMIMT/EMRTC faculty, staff, and their sponsoring agencies. I monitored financial activity for compliance with the terms and conditions of awards, which may have included FAR and DFARS clauses, and completed representations and certifications. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMIMT) is a non-profit state sponsored Institution of Higher Education. Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (EMRTC) is a major research and training division of NMIMT that specializes in the research, development, testing, and analysis of energetic materials for both corporate and government clients. Before becoming a Research Accountant working on EMRTC accounts, I spent nearly 2 years in NMIMT\'s Research and Economic Development department helping PIs submit proposals to federal agencies online through various portals such as NSF FastLane, Grants.gov, NASA NSPIRES, and NIH eRA Commons.
