Develop and manage a team of three site inspectors/construction monitors. Mentor and teach both technical and non-technical skills related to tunnelling, rock support, quality control. construction monitoring for surface and underground works, interfacing with client and contractor, site roles and responsibilities, regulatory environments, and technical writing- Impart a strong safety culture on my own team and integrate seamlessly with FortisBC\'s safety culture- Tirelessly build and nurture positive relationships in challenging, complex team/project environment- Track data relevant to tunnelling progress including: portal development, TBM assembly, drill and blast starter tunnel excavation, TBM advance, rock support, rock mapping and characterization, probe drilling, pre- and post-excavation grouting, tunnel water inflows, tunnel dewatering volumes and water treatment plant discharge, and upgrades to water treatment systems- Act as senior FortisBC representative at the Woodfibre site, managing simultaneous operations and interactions with numerous other contractors and owner parties in a complex multi-party site environment- Review Construction Work Plans, RFI responses, Quality Plans, and NCRs- Work closely with the Quality team and design-build engineer to manage QA/QC- Support FortisBC\'s Contracts teams in change management. Track time, personnel, equipment, and materials in relation to agreed-upon contractual changes to ensure budgets remain in line and production continues efficiently- Work directly for the Construction Manager and Assistant Construction Manager in supporting project delivery in a rigorous regulatory environment, including management of water treatment, potentially acid generating rock, fresh water and salt water marine receiving environments, Indigenous regulation and partnerships, etc.

ABOUT SAMANTHA TAYLOR
Samantha is a geological engineer with a decade of broad technical and practical experience gained through numerous short- and long-term field assignments. She most recently completed her role as Site Manager (Woodfibre) for the Eagle Mountain Gas Pipeline Project. Sam led a team of inspectors in Construction Management for a 4.5 m-diameter unlined hard rock tunnel and significant supporting surface operations in challenging regulatory and logistical environments.Prior to her leadership at EGP, Sam acted as Field Geotechnical Engineer on site at the Kemano T2 project (BC), where she was responsible for ground control, rock support instructions, geohazard assessment, mapping, and geotechnical analyses for rehabilitation of the downstream T2 tunnel. Samantha was also on long-term assignment as Site Geologist at Keeyask Generating Station (Manitoba), a massive hydropower development where she was the lead geologist in charge of structural and geological mapping, foundation inspection and improvement, rock stability analysis and rock support design, and provision of support for drill and blast review.In addition to her construction experience, Samantha has been extensively involved in various geotechnical investigation programs including drilling, mapping, test pitting, geophysics, and well installation. She has planned and coordinated drilling programs including leading contractor coordination. Samantha has taken on technical and project coordination roles in energy, infrastructure, and mining projects. Her experience ranges from rock characterization and classification, to instrumentation review, rip rap design, foundation preparation, and making design decisions based on field results.She has worked extensively in the dam industry, and her dam safety knowledge is augmented from experience performing dam safety inspections, dam safety reviews, stability and seepage analyses of dams and dykes, and dam rehabilitation.
