Assist with the completion of full-scope audit engagements using ProSystem fx Engagement software for private company year-end engagements. • Prepare comparative financial statements with disclosures, applying GAAP as necessary and documenting, testing, and assessing various control systems. • Create strategies for client risk assessments and annual audit plans and support the execution of those strategies. • Complete data analysis on client’s balance sheet, P&L accounts, and financial reporting. • Took on departmental projects and lead trainings to ensure the team was working effectively and efficiently • Develop, mentor, and supervise associate members of the accounting team ensuring projects are maintaining momentum. • Complete the testing sections for 401k Audit engagements such as contribution, participation compliance, distribution, rollover, loans, and fees. Compare employee personnel files to the 5500 and Plan Summary. • Prepare 401k financial statements with GAAP disclosures. • Review statements from clients – preparing, adjusting, and eliminating journal entries and analyzing variances for material errors. • Prepare individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporation returns as well as provide the necessary projections to help adequately plan for the upcoming year using ProSystem fx Tax software. • Engage in miscellaneous projects and assignments as needed, relating to 1099s and other tax work.
