ABOUT SAMANTHA RANDALL

I\'m a Public Relations senior at Florida State University graduating in May, with experience across PR agency, in-house, and political communications. I\'ve engaged in all kinds of PR work, from pitching journalists, pulling coverage reports, drafting press releases, and brainstorming campaign strategy media lists for clients ranging from Taco Bell to Florida healthcare clients — with my work split across Edelman\'s D.C. office and Sachs Media, the top-ranked public affairs firm in Florida. I also serve as the Press Secretary for FSU\'s Student Government Association, where I\'ve handled everything from crisis statements to student-facing campaigns that hit 500K+ views. Being a member of the audience I\'m often trying to reach has been one of my biggest advantages in this work, which sits at the intersection of earned media, brand communications, and public affairs.I\'ve been a ballet dancer my whole life, which probably explains why I\'m drawn to work that requires both precision and performance. Outside the office, I lead FPRA\'s student chapter as VP, I\'ve worked as a tour guide for FSU for the last four years, and I study Italian. I\'m drawn to the strategy behind consumer PR — figuring out how a brand can reach a younger audience in a way that actually feels native to how they consume content, and I love connecting with people that have done interesting work in those spaces.
