As the VP of Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer, I oversee and manage the Corporate Compliance Program and function for Freeman Health System. In this position I am responsible for reviewing and evaluating compliance issues and concerns within the health system with an independent and objective point-of-view. Additionally, I review and approve of all physician contracts, monitor physician production compensation levels, and address physician concerns.I review applicable laws and regulations (federal and state) on an ongoing basis and communicate all changes to the applicable function or department within the health system. Additionally, I ensure that the Board of Directors, management, and employees are compliant with the rules and regulations of federal and state regulatory agencies as well as system policies and procedures. Due to the Privacy Section of HIPAA, I manage, curate, and distribute all Business Associate Agreements that Freeman enters.
