ABOUT SAMANTHA AHERN
I am an experienced educator, technologist and creator. I have held roles in IT education both as a secondary school educator and professional IT trainer, and was a Senior Information Security Officer (Awareness). I am currently Fellow of the University of London\'s Centre for Online and Distance Education and undertaken a new role as Senior Digital Research Trainer at UCL working with the Centre for Advanced Research Computing on their education programme.Previously, as a Faculty Learning Technology Lead (FLTL) my role iwas to advise colleagues on how digital technologies can be used effectively within teaching and learning, to liaise with Digital Education, Arena and other departments across UCL to ensure colleagues were aware of centrally provided services, and to ensure local needs were understood and integrated appropriately into central planning.I am a Fellow of Advance HE, Senior CMALT holder and am a STEM Ambassador.
