About Samantha Wang

I apply my chemical engineering expertise to scale up novel technologies from conception to production. I’ve always been attracted to the wild places of the world, and I feel a strong responsibility to protect the environment, which has shaped my desire to apply my skills towards advancing clean technologies with the potential to mitigate climate change. In my current role at Kairos Power, an advanced nuclear reactor development company, I am responsible for the design and engineering of two major first-of-a-kind plants for molten salt production to enable the successful demonstration of the Hermes nuclear reactor. My experience covers all the major stages of a project including initial conception, lab R&D, pilot plant scale-up campaigns, P & ID development and equipment sizing, plant commissioning and startup, and process improvement and troubleshooting of large manufacturing plants. I enjoy taking a creative approach to problem solving to design the most optimized, cost-efficient, and safe plants possible.
