About Samantha Vuong
Hi there! I\'m Sammie Vuong. I\'m a first-generation alumna of the University of California, Riverside, with a major in Business Administration and Information Systems. Hard work and dedication are key aspects in defining who I am. My love and passion for working with people with care and empathy started at a young age and has only grown deeper in the most recent years, when I overcame multiple surgeries as a result of a debilitating car accident during the early years of my college career. From this experience, I realized the only limit to my success is myself. Constantly seeking new opportunities to challenge myself, I was able to combine my passion for working with others during my leadership roles as the former president of my school\'s chapter of Association for Information Systems, and my current role as a peer mentor for the College of Agricultural and Natural Sciences. During these two roles, I was able to grow the information systems program at my school, and help guide students towards their academic success. Previously, I have had several wonderful opportunities to explore technical careers, where I can apply my technical skills and knowledge to streamline business processes during my solutions consulting internship at DocuSign and Information Technology (project management, IT solutions, infrastructure) internship at the City of West Covina. Although my focus primarily lies in information systems, I am constantly looking for new opportunities to expand on my skillset: Python, R, C++, Project Management, IT solutions, organizational management, and entrepreneurship. I am actively looking for new grad roles in sales, product, and data. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy weightlifting, baking, attending concerts, and doing anything outdoors (skatebording, hiking, etc.)! My top Gallup Strengths are: 1. Ideation 2. Strategic 3.
