Oversee all research and reference services, by providing research and support for all inquiries from Mount Vernon departments, external inquiries, and research fellows.Act as a content specialist in collaboration with other departments on programs that utilize the library’s resources.Develop and manage the library’s general research collection, which includes all published materials dated ca. 1920-present.Oversee general collections acquisitions including print and e-resources.Present and publish on various historical topics.Lead library tours for Leadership, Development, and Events Departments.In coordination with the Chief Librarian review and update the library’s general collections policy.Work closely with Technical Services Librarian to ensure timely processing of new general collections print materials and e-resources.Manage a staff of volunteers who handle reception desk services: directing guests to appointments, fielding phone calls, answering general questions, and occasional library circulation services.
