While working as a Design Engineering Intern at Valcor, I worked on the R&D team on various projects. For the project I mainly worked on for the summer, I helped to build and teach others how to assemble a testing fixture, managed the project\'s schedule in the absence of its project engineer, modeled several assisting parts utilizing various textbooks and handbooks, performed stress analysis calculations to design a cover plate undergoing internal pressures, drafted drawings utilizing GD & T techniques, and ultimately developed a new valve within the project\'s family. In addition, for the other valve and brakes related projects I was working on, I helped to create several catalogs and matrices, most importantly ensuring both products could survive in cryogenic temperatures.

ABOUT SAMANTHA MONTALBINE
I am a Mechanical Engineering and Albert Dorman Honors student with a sophomore standing at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Besides Mechanical Engineering, I am also pursing a Business minor. I am eager to learn about manufacturing, programming, and overall engineering, whether it be in the classroom, through independent studies, or in future internships. I hope to one day take what I learn to work within the robotics field and expand from there.
