ABOUT SAMANTHA JUTERAM
I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science at the University of California, Irvine, building on my background in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of South Florida.As a Data & Analytics Intern at Centene, I’ve made a deliberate shift from supporting reactive reporting to building more proactive, analytics-driven solutions. While I previously developed operational dashboards for leadership, my current work focuses on designing Neo4j graph databases to model IT incident relationships and applying machine learning techniques in Python to surface patterns that can help anticipate recurring issues.Studying mathematics trained me to think in terms of models and relationships. In my internships, I saw firsthand how reporting drives decisions, but I also saw the limitations of staying reactive. That experience sparked a real interest in predictive modeling and in rethinking how data can shape strategy before problems escalate.
