About Samantha Johnson
I currently reside in the city of Seattle,I have held many different jobs throughout my nine years in the broadcast and communications industry. I have mastered many skills from developing show and project ideas to completing projects under tight deadlines and undertaking many projects beyond the scope of my job description. At my current position as the Live Producer at RUN Studios, I work primarily with Microsoft clientele. Having such a large company as a client has required mastering the art of tightrope walking; balancing creative ideas to bring in viewers and get the message and branding across along with making sure the budget is not blown out of the water. I know how to scope and execute productions that last weeks and involve a multi-person crew, all the way down to 30 minute recordings that need to be turned around the same day. As a Production Coordinator for Fox Sports West in Los Angeles, I was responsible for coordinating shoots with the Los Angeles Kings and assisted with editing show segments for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels. I coordinated multiple shoots a week and would see each project through from conception to completion. This gave me the ability to multitask as well as work under extremely tight deadlines. I would regularly organize multiple projects while being involved in every step of the production process. I have a passion for the broadcast industry am looking to expand and grow my skills in a broader field of the communication industry, be it Corporate, Web, News/Entertainment, current events or post production. I strive to deliver the best possible product and know that what I put on the air is not just a reflection on my abilities but represents the company as a whole.
