ABOUT SAMANTHA ESTIS

I am currently a Florida State University graduate student earning my masters degree in Law Enforcement Intelligence with a 2023 graduation date. I have worked in Emergency Management where I assisted with security and special events. I prepared weekly SitReps for policymakers and created FEMA documents for Florida residents on post-disaster assistance. I was previously a Property & Evidence Technician at the FSU Police Department where I ensured the proper handling, collection, processing, and storing of evidence and property for the police department. In spring of 2020, I was a full-time intern at the FSU Police Department, where I worked with the investigations unit, the patrol unit, and the crime prevention unit. I have strong interests in analytical and intelligence work, cyber crimes, forensics and investigations, criminal law, and helping others. I previously worked for Apple as an AppleCare At Home Advisor, where I assisted customers in solving technological, software, and account issues. My goals include learning more about law enforcement intelligence applicability in the real-world, as well as the proper way to solve criminal investigations, cyber crimes, intelligence work, and the forensics contribution to law enforcement. I am looking for a career in the future with a company or agency that will challenge and motivate me to continue learning, as well as continuously teach me new skills every day.
