Part of a team focused on maximizing our members voice and impact in politics, policy and government. Coordinate and help lead the development strategy and implementation our program for pro-worker endorsements, elections, policies, regulations, and the community and coalitional relationships required to win- Building an extensive and comprehensive network of worksite leaders, member-activists; developing a member leadership program for engagement in elections and policy fights, working with potential members to identify, train and develop rank and file leaders- Developing relationships with elected officials and other government agencies to effectively advocate for worker interests at the municipal, county, state and national levels- Develop strategic campaigns and policies to leverage government for pro-worker initiatives- Develop relationships and build coalitions with community partners in the furtherance of these goals- Working collaboratively with other union staff in other skill areas to make sure our political and policy work is deeply integrated in to the life of the local.
