ABOUT SAMANTHA DALLEFELD
I\'m a pediatric critical care physician out of training now for over 5 years and have been named an Austin Top Doctor in Austin Monthly Magazine for the past 3 years. Outside of my clinical duties, I search for opportunities to push the practice of medicine forward and improve the direct care that is provided at the bedside. As such, I am a site principal investigator for a number of multicenter trials aiming to improve the care of pediatric patients with a particular interest in critical illness and pharmacology. In addition, I am involved in several quality improvement initiatives in infectious disease primarily around blood and respiratory culture reduction, antibiotic stewardship, and infection prevention. I was a business major in undergraduate school (Hook \'Em Horns) and have an extensive background in leadership roles from the president of multi-state organizations to Chair of the Student Advisory Council to the UT System Board of Regents. I love a challenge and an opportunity to learn something new. As a fun side project, I have an educational Instagram,@SamDeeMD, where I educate over followers on general pediatric and pediatric critical care topics.
