ABOUT SAMANTHA CARLSON
Currently I am a meteorologist and space weather scientist at the Federal Aviation Administration in the Aviation Weather Division working to make the National Air Space safer and more efficient! I am a January 2022 graduate from Catholic University of America with a MS in Applied Space Weather Research. I received my BS in Meteorology and a minor in Heliophysics and Space Weather from Millersville University in May 2020. My interests include space weather and meteorological impacts to aviation. My Master\'s thesis involved quantifying uncertainties of the FAA CARI-7 aviation radiation dose rate model. I enjoy being actively involved in the community. I am a member of the American Meteorological Society. I enjoy breaking the stereotypes held against women, and pursuing my passions in science.
