ABOUT SAMANTHA ARCHIBALD

I am a seasoned professional with 18+ years of funding and grants administration, urban planning and community development, and project and program management experience. Recognized for demonstrating a natural aptitude for overseeing and directing projects and programs from inception to completion, as well as for leading the creation and development of strategic project plans and for efficiently and effectively administering and allocating budgets and grants. Professional focal points include relationship management, team leadership, community and economic development, budget management, project planning and management, report development, market research, performance improvement, community outreach, document management, urban planning, and grant administration. Delivering superior performance on the latter areas of expertise requires utilization of effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving to support efficiency and maximum success. Most recently, I was the Program Manager with WACIF for Minnesota Avenue Main Street. Under my leadership, I oversaw and implemented the Main Street Commercial Business District’s revitalization program to stabilize and rejuvenate the Ward 7 business community. I also provided direct support to 68 businesses through individual and group workshops, conducted the evaluation and assessment of entrepreneurship program applications, and performed the coordination of all Main Street programming, which included destination brand marketing and organized placemaking events. Within the WACIF, I also played key roles on several entrepreneurial programs and fund initiatives impacting small businesses and entrepreneurs of color in the DC metro area. I liaised with senior leadership and various other personnel and teams to ensure maximum success. Colleagues describe me as a driven, innovative, energetic, precise, dynamic, and managerial expert who can be relied on to offer superior solutions that deliver effective results. I am pursuing new opportunities and can be reached through this profile.
