ABOUT SAMANTA CAZORLA

I’m a passionate scientist with over 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries, working at the intersection of biology and data. What truly excites me is my genuine curiosity—whether it’s exploring the complexity of life through biology or leveraging data to solve real-world challenges. I love diving deep into complex problems, analysing them thoroughly, and finding pragmatic, creative solutions. After years of working in microbiology, molecular biology, and genomics, I realised how transformative data can be in tackling challenges within life sciences. This insight led me to data science, where I completed a Data Science Bootcamp and expanded my expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and AI. Today, I’m skilled in Python and its data science libraries (e.g. Pandas and Scikit-Learn), as well as SQL and R programming. I also have experience with AI and cloud technologies. I prioritise quality, attention to detail, and collaboration in all my work. Whether it’s optimising processes, managing projects, or analysing data, I’m committed to delivering practical, effective solutions. I thrive in environments where I can apply both my scientific background and data expertise to address meaningful challenges and contribute to innovation. I’m excited to continue learning and growing in data science and am particularly interested in exploring its potential in life sciences.
