ABOUT SAMAH NANDA
I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York and New Jersey, and I specialize in working with adults navigating familial conflict, relationship distress, and interpersonal challenges stemming from childhood trauma and cultural complexities. I also have an interest in working with immigrants who are working professionals and students coping with issues of balancing cultural expectations, dual identities, and anxiety. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy based on where each client is in their life. I draw from trauma-informed techniques and use different evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, ACT, and IFS. My prior professional background and training have been around childhood trauma, attachment, and psychodynamic work. I heavily focus on drawing parallels between childhood experiences and how they show up in our adult selves.
