ABOUT SAMAD ANSARI

I am currently an Associate Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). I completed subspecialty clinical fellowships in both adult and paediatric glaucoma at Moorfields Eye Hospital (MEH), following my residency training in South London. I also undertook a Glaucoma TSC fellowship at MEH. Prior to this, I was an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow (ACF) at the Department of Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology, King’s College London. My research interests focus on healthcare methodology, systematic reviews, and the analysis of real-world data in glaucoma and ageing, with particular emphasis on the interplay between diet, cognition, and mitochondrial dysfunction. I have published extensively in these areas, including multiple book chapters, and have delivered over 50 national and international presentations. My work has been recognised through several awards and funding, including the Zakarian Award from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and Fight for Sight.
