About Sam Varghese

Sam Varghese is a 4th year student at NMIMS pursuing MBA and BTech in Computer Engineering. NMIMS holds an NIRF rank of 11 in Pharmacy and 21 in Management domain, making it even better than some of the prominent IIM\'s of the country. Sam is currently an intern at KPMG, one of the Big Four companies of the world. He has also been a part of the placement cell of the University and has led the Technical Clubs. The team he lead became the first ever team from NMIMS to win the Smart India Hackathon. It was in the problem statement posted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, GoI. For his innovations, he and his team members were interviewed by the Ministry of Education\'s Innovation Cell. He has also been awarded by the Superintendent of Maharashtra Police Cyber Cell, IPS Sanjay Shintre for his projects and was rewarded an internship opportunity in their headquarters. Being an hardworking student, Sam is passionate about exploring new technologies to keep pace with the advancements and contribute greatly to the industries. He has worked in the domain of Data Analytics and Computer Vision, especially object detection and tracking. He has also worked on Hyperspectral Imaging with Professors from Bennett University for research projects. Apart from his strong technical background, Sam is an \"A\" grade NCC Cadet (National Cadet Corps) which taught him military discipline and the ability to adjust in challenging situations. He likes playing table tennis, which helps him improve his reflexes and gives the ability to make quick decisions and strategies.
