I am a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer with a BTEC Level 7 Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence.As Head of the Specialist Markets team, I specialise in the hospitality, leisure, health and social care, education and supported residential property sectors.I have a wealth of experience managing the valuation, acquisition and sale of high profile hospitality businesses and care projects, as well as working on large scale valuation projects for the likes of Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Government and many lenders including Allica Bank, Atom Bank, CAF Bank, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Natwest, OSB Group, Together Commercial Finance, Unity Trust and VAS Group.Recent valuation projects include rental valuations of a Council portfolio of 7 leisure centres; HMO portfolio valuations (over 150 beds); 4 AONB visitor centres; ongoing valuations for a large YMCA Group; 4 new social housing schemes let to a national provider; a portfolio of 4 operational care homes; several cared-for children\'s homes; Charities Act valuations to support sales/mergers of 3 significant schools; several hotels and pubs (my favourite sector) Expert Witness reports on 3 major leisure development schemes, and an RICS appointment to provide retrospective pub valuations to a European Court.I am the national media spokesperson for Bruton Knowles on commercial property and business rates matters regarding leisure and healthcare property, able to provide comment and insight into these sectors and the trends and issues they face today.Bruton Knowles is an independently-owned national property consultancy with 11 offices across the UK.
