About Sam Shrivastava
Sam Shrivastava is an accomplished biotech entrepreneur and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Asha Therapeutics. Utilizing a unique mitochondria-centric approach to neurodegenerative diseases, Asha Therapeutics is advancing a new paradigm in drug discovery, reengineering cellular machinery towards restoring the powerhouse of the cell. Asha’s PRISM™ platform of AI-driven discovery technology facilitates efficient drug design and development using computational assessment and ADMET characterization and correlation. PRISM™ uses novel physics-based computational methodology for accurate identification, assessment, and optimization of the most critical variables for UPS-directed protein degradation and has developed MITOTAC™ and MITOPRISM™ technologies to safely and effectively drug mitochondrial targets. Asha’s lead drug has shown promising pre-clinical activity in models of Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, and ME/CFS. Mr. Shrivastava previously founded Venn Therapeutics in 2016, a highly innovative drug discovery incubator. Under his leadership as Chairman and CEO, a team of leading cancer immunologists are developing a portfolio of novel integrin antibodies that are translating today’s most promising and innovative breakthroughs in cancer research into tomorrow’s life-saving treatments. He is also the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ibis Therapeutics, an artificial intelligence platform company co-founded with Mayo Clinic. Ibis uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to build small molecule drugs and repurpose existing drugs. On October 7, 2021 Ibis announced it had entered into a strategic collaboration with Mayo Clinic to accelerate the discovery of novel and repurposed drug candidates suitable for clinical development. In all his endeavors, Mr. Shrivastava is committed to improving patient health outcomes through rigorous target selection, clinical and preclinical studies, antibody production management, and small molecule synthesis execution. He is the co-inventor on several provisional patents for small molecule discovery in cancer, neurology, and immunology. Mr. Shrivastava is a graduate of the High-Impact Cancer Research postgraduate certificate program at Harvard Medical School.
