The Department of Justice (DOJ) mission to enforce the law, and to defend the interests of the United States and its citizens in accordance with the law, is carried out by approximately talented and diverse men and women, working in 40 separate component organizations and in numerous and varied law enforcement, legal, and administrative mission-critical occupations. DOJ leads the Nation in ensuring the protection of all Americans while preserving their constitutional freedoms.Duties:Overseeing the performance of various types of contracts and requirements that typically provide professional and technical labor services, supplies, equipment, facilities, and materials in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, agreements, business practices and other protocols that define the division’s operational environments; •Be responsible for the entire range of the contracting process to include acquisition planning, requirements definition, market research, cost/price analysis, general administration and closeout;•Monitor contractor performance and facilitate the administrative and logistical aspects of orders to include identifying procurement-related issues or trends pertaining to labor, insurance, government furnished property, quality assurance, task compliance and performance;•Provide liaison services between the 17 different sections within the Criminal Division and the Justice Management Division’s Procurement Services Staff;•Review and recommend approval of financial reports used by program staff, management, and interagency government partners; and•Provide staff work contributing to problem resolution, process improvement and policy/guidance formulation.
