In my current role, I contribute to Transport Delivery as a member of the SLT. I am responsible for SEND transport and the type of transport SEND students have access to. I oversee 4 teams (Specialist Transport Risk Assessors, Independent Travel Training, Safeguarding and driver training, and Network Reviewing). My role contributes strategically to the service with a focus on making services more efficient. Whilst focusing on budgetary savings, I also have a focus on service quality, recognising that we transport vulnerable individuals and their safety is of paramount importance.
